Marc Giangrosso's Fab Five
- Nino Negri Sfursat 5 Stelle 1997 $44.99
I know, a $45 bottle that’s a bargain, hard to believe. Trust me this one is it. Deep, rich and intensely powerful with a finish that would give some $100 bottles of California Cult wine a lesson in complexity and persistence. Easily one of my all time Faves.
- Domaine Les Hautes Noelles Muscadet Cotes de Grandliu sur Lie 1999 $9.99
This wine wins my award for the best choice with seafood. A delicious wine on its own, this one really comes alive with the addition of the delicate flavors of any sort of fish dish.
- Gruet Blanc De Noir sparkling wine New Mexico $12.99
If you’re familiar with our store, we have surely shown this wine to you. Crafted by a French Champagne producer from only the free-run juice of the first pressing, this wine is a delicious choice when celebration is in the air and makes everyday celebrations affordable.
- Augustinos Carmeniere 1999 Chile $7.99
This is a Big, Big wine for a small small price. Similar to merlot, but deeper, sturdier in structure, and more earthy than fruity in flavor. Try this one with that next steak dinner.
- Colosi Vino Rosso Sicily 1998 $7.99
After looking over some of my co-workers selections I noticed a singular omission concerning their choices, not enough Italian wines. This wine should correct this issue. A concentrated wine of medium body, this bottle is just the choice for that dish of pasta or that pizza on a Wednesday night. Aromas of deep earth and bright cherry make this wine a pleasure at any time.
